Loshbaugh letter: Failing students

I reel every time I hear a newscast these days. What mind-numbed robot thought it would be a good idea to give a 50 instead of a zero when a pupil fails to submit an assignment or blows a test? Boise schools patrons should recall the entire board and fire the superintendent yesterday. Kids at every age must be taught that actions have consequences and if one chooses to not complete homework or doesn’t study enough to pass a test, the consequence is a zero ... and no second chances. Schools must not create such poor employees for employers to fend off.

And what in the world are the people in Shelley thinking?
