Knight letter: Ron Crane
What is holding up the investigation of Idaho State Treasurer Ron Crane? Why is he still in office? Where is Chris Priest, the whistleblower? Where is the Statesman investigative reporter Bill Dentzer? The city of Boise brought similar charges years ago against Mayor Brent Coles, and that ended his career in public service.
Ron Crane’s presence in the office of Treasurer does a huge disservice to the Republican Party. Republicans should do better to weed out incompetence in high places. This makes all look suspect.
If this issue is still in litigation, Mr. Crane should be on leave until the issue is resolved.
