Welty letter: Guns
I applaud President Obama’s speech at the officers’ memorial service. He said that we are not a divided nation and I agree with that. We are a nation infatuated with guns, that is for sure.
A plumber told my husband and me that if he ever saw a gun in a client’s home he would leave that house and never come back. His words stuck with me and I don’t think we’ll ever forget those words.
We need to stand up to our convictions as human beings and refuse to let guns rule over us.
