Letters to the Editor

Cunningham letter: Obituary thanks

I just read the obituary of Rocky “Rock” LeRoy Smith. I am sad for his family that he died in the prime of his life. He sounded like a wonderful family man and true friend to many.

Personally, I was very touched with the mention of my dad, Elmer Tiegs, in reference to him buying Rock’s dead pig at the Canyon County Fair. Dad knew how much the animals in the 4H and FFA programs meant to the young people. He always wanted to bid up the price to give the kids some profit for all the work and love they put into their animals.

My dad died19 years ago, so it was very touching to see he was appreciated.

Bonnie Tiegs Cunningham, Boise
