I have been walking almost daily for three years so I decided to track the month of June 2016. I just finished adding up the steps and did 454,836 for the month. That averages out at 15,161.2 steps a day. I have noticed the benefit in my attitude and fitness level. I have dealt with depression in the past and I really feel that the daily walking has kept a smile on my face more often. Even in the hot weather I just make sure to dress properly, wear sunscreen and hydrate. I am 72 years old and I believe that my fitness level has kept me healthy. If you can’t get to the gym, get out and walk.
