Letters to the Editor

Dixon letter: CINOs

I am fed up with the Washington CINOs (Conservatives in Name Only). I keep getting these childish “surveys,” really asking for money. They are never tabulated.

One of the questions is always. “Do you believe we should drill to get more oil and make the U.S. energy independent?” Those CINOs have just voted to again export our oil, and we are again importing 8 million barrels of oil a day from countries that hate us. Good show there, CINOs. They are all a bunch of hypocrites, on the take, and as greedy as any in history. If our Idaho Congressmen voted to remove the ban on exporting U.S. oil, I don’t ever want to hear from them again.

And the local TV stations are just as bad. They keep parroting the same old gibberish. “This Labor Day gasoline is much cheaper than it was Labor Day last year.” Sure. But they never say “Gasoline is $2.49 a gallon, way up from the $1.79 it was a few months ago, before our Congress voted to send our oil overseas again.”

A pox on all of the D.C. Beltway crowd.

Next month I will have a letter on homegrown terrorists no one does anything about.
