Gustafson letter: Veterans and the VA
Once again, the VA is in the spotlight. Again the issue is “wait times.”
Everyone wants to appear that they are concerned for veterans. Veterans will know that somebody cares when the question is not, “How many died waiting to get in?” Rather, “How many died because they did get in?”
Veterans do not under any circumstance go to the VA if you need medical attention. Find a facility with moral and medical ethics. Not the VA. The best thing the VA can do for you is exhaust your patience and force you to go somewhere else.
