Sasaki letter: Be considerate

With the graduation season upon us I would like to voice my concern with people who attend the events and are seemingly oblivious to the people sitting around them, to the program that is going on, and to the graduates and speakers who are being honored.

Maybe I am more sensitive to this because I am a retired teacher and have expected my students to behave when an activity or program is presented for their enjoyment. I have the right and privilege to hear the speeches, listen to the musical numbers, and clap for all the honorees without being bothered by other chatter.

Please be considerate. Thank you.

Michael Sasaki, Boise
