Cochrane letter: Voting
If you have grandchildren of the voting age, will you please have them see this? They don’t read the paper, and neither do most of their parents. They caved in to an idea that this is the way the world is now, and there is nothing anybody can do about it.
Tell them about the wonderful times growing up in the ’40s, ’50s or ’60s, with no worries about opportunities for your future. Try to explain that putting America first, as you did then, actually helped other people all over the globe. Find out if their last 7-1/2 years under our current president was what they hoped for, or do they still know something is terribly wrong?
The election for our next national leader is looming. Let those young relatives know they must now be responsible for their future by voting. Sitting it out will only turn their lives over to more tyranny. We seniors might be the only ones left that can convince our young loved ones that it is possible to make America great again.
