DeKnikker letter: Freedom and liberty

May 3rd, I was almost in tears as we visited the Veterans Hospital in Boise. Many there were disabled, and many more not there had given their all so that we could be free. At the entrance was a sign that stated, “The Price of Freedom is Visible here.”

Why would anyone vote for a socialist or felon? America’s Constitution provides us with freedom. America is the greatest place on earth.

Many of our state congressman need to receive a pink slip. All they are thinking about is their overpaid jobs, and not “We the People.” The Idaho Freedom Index grades these people with D’s and F’s Kudos to those receiving A’s and B’s. Don’t these representatives realize that when our system goes down, they will go down with the rest of us?

I do not want a stimulus, I want liberty.

God bless.

Marie I. DeKnikker, Cambridge
