Bubb letter: Thank you

I am writing to express my gratitude for what I think is the only emergency veterinarian service in the Treasure Valley — WestVet. They are tucked away in Garden City, waiting to care for all the late night, weekend, unexpected and agonizing needs of the pets — and their humans — in Boise and surrounding areas.

The front end staff are kind and experienced at de-escalating a crisis. The professional vets and techs are so skilled and treat our animals like the family we think they are. While I was in the waiting room recently, a large beautiful dog was brought in on a stretcher. He must have been hit by a car. He was conscious, but his human was crying. Where else could someone take a pet who had been hurt — and be sure there would be emergency care? I was so grateful for WestVet for the sweet dog and family I didn’t even know.

Thanks to a very much needed resource in our area. I feel safer knowing WestVet is just around the corner, waiting to stitch up, diagnose, take care and tend to my furry cat babies in emergency times of need. Just grateful.
