Skillern letter: Sergio Gutierrez
A few years ago I was responsible for the Y’s Youth in Government program. On several occasions Judge Gutierrez served as the keynote speaker for the program’s general session as well as a group discussion leader. I observed that during these sessions Gutierrez had a remarkable ability to engage the youth in issues regarding government, politics and society. Furthermore, he was always willing to help with this program. He cannot be surpassed as a role model for young students.
Others, including the Statesman, have written about his extraordinary background and judicial experience. These observations lead me to endorse Sergio Gutierrez for the Idaho Supreme Court.
