McCoy letter: Prince

I was living in Sheridan, Wyo. when Prince came there. There was a contest on MTV and the hometown of the person who won would have Prince come for the showing of “Purple Rain.” Sheridan was and still is a small community so I was able to see Prince arrive and attend the movie. The irony of that situation was that Kenny Rogers had just filmed “Wild Horses” there so I worried about how Prince would be received but everything went off well. He was such an unassuming star and changed many people’s mind about him.
