Jordan letter: State of our nation

Worth repeating. Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth upon this continent a new nation conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

We harnessed the basic power of the universe and loosed it against those who brought war to the Far East.

The story goes, while walking near his home in Independence, Mo. the aging former president was confronted by a young man who said, “Mr. Truman, how could you in good conscience kill so many people and still sleep at night?” Harry looked him in the eye and said, “Hell, boy, I did it for you.”

Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country. Any nuclear missile launched from Cuba would require a full retaliatory attack against the Soviet Union. JFK.

Powerful words from great Americans.

How will history judge the current presidential candidates? We have a liar who would dismantle the Second Amendment, a socialist, a man with no government experience and informally endorsed by a communist, and a sitting president who will step down leaving American $20 trillion in debt.
