Masner letter: Political tricks

In my opinion Reed DeMordaunt has done a good job as District 14 representative in the Idaho House. I was pleased to see his campaign signs at many intersections and in yards. But wait, it turns out he’s not going to be on the ballot. What’s going on with that?

It turns out that it’s not Reed that’s running (surprise, surprise), it’s his wife whose name is conspicuously absent on the advertising. What a cheap, misleading political trick.

I’m both ashamed and disgusted at this couple’s attempt to trick voters into voting for someone they know nothing about. Surreptitiously riding the coattails of your husband’s fine record is dishonest.

I, for one, will support and vote for someone else.

Morgan Masner, former Eagle City councilman, Eagle
