Clifford letter: Bicyclists
Regarding bike lanes, Gerald Makovsky (April 12 letter):
Cyclists do pay for roads. Ninety-nine percent of us own cars. It is our choice to ride a bike. Cycling can be for health reasons, cost saving, exercise, pollution concerns, fun, etc. Although we absolutely are paying fees for the roads and road work, please keep in mind, heavy motor vehicles cause road damage, not bicycles.
Dominique Clifford, Boise
