Brown letter: Concealed carry

I recently sent an e-mail to Butch Otter in regard to him signing into law the permitless concealed carry bill. I asked him whether an individual would be able to carry a concealed gun into the Capitol building without running afoul of the local or federal law enforcement agencies. The answer I got had nothing to do with my question, which is usual for career politicians. His statement was he was protecting Second Amendment rights and those who take advantage of the concealed carry law should take gun safety classes. All I wanted to know is he more interested in protecting himself than he is interested in protecting the citizens of Idaho because I believe if he doesn’t care if someone sneaks a gun into the Capitol then I’m fine with the permitless concealed carry bill.
