Kershisnik letter: Public lands
I support Rep. Raul Labrador’s legislation titled the Self-Sufficient Community Lands Act.
As a disabled veteran I am deeply interested in the protection this bill provides for access for all users, both motorized and nonmotorized. This bill provides for local and state management; it does not allow for sale of these lands.
Why are opponents so hysterical about this bill? Are they afraid it will work? Proving Idaho does not require federal control.
This bill was written by county commissioners from five counties in North Idaho. This is an Idaho solution for a federal problem.
