Anderson letter: Trump is dangerous
Thanks to Governor Kasich’s decisive victory in the GOP Primary in Ohio on Super Tuesday, Donald Trump has now been denied enough delegates to outright win the GOP nomination. This means we are now looking at a contested GOP convention. GOP Establishment leaders are now coming out in force, mobilizing super-PACs attacking Trump on everything from his vile treatment of women to his violent campaign rhetoric, after Trump suggested his followers might resort to violence if he gets deprived of the nomination. GOP National Security Leaders have now come out in unanimous opposition of Trump’s candidacy, vowing to do whatever it takes to defeat him.
Trump has exposed himself as a dangerous man, an existential threat to the republic. A fascist demagogue not unlike Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, whom our forefathers fought and sacrificed their lives to defeat during World War II. We must support the GOP in purging itself of this smooth-talking imposter, who will lie and manipulate and say whatever it takes to seize power in this country. Fascism is unacceptable in any country, let alone one as great as ours. Trump needs to be thoroughly discredited, and ejected from American politics forever. His followers should be ashamed.
