Morgan letter: Take U.S. back

Have you felt you would like to march across the country and pound down the doors of D.C. and force them to give our country back to the people? But what can we do? Finally, we can take action. Visit democracyawakening.org and democracyspring.org. to read about the biggest march since Selma.

Saturday, April 2, you can join a 10-day, 140-mile democracy trek from Philly to Capitol Hill, and on Sunday, April 17, there will be a protest march and sit-in for democracy on the Capitol lawn. Many more activities will take place — too numerous to mention here.

Democracy Spring and Democracy Awakening have formed a coalition with huge numbers of organizations, business owners, celebrities and citizens to let our politicians, Supreme Court and 1 percenters know that their corruption, voter suppression, Citizens United will no longer be tolerated.

That is not all: Throughout this election year, supporters will confront thousands of incumbents and office seekers with demands that they sign a pledge to commit to real democratic reform or admit to keeping big money corruption.

We so desperately need an eruption of a grass-roots rebellion that will give us back our country for, of and by the people. Let’s do it.
