Juiliano letter: Minimum wage

Of all the mysterious actions of our out-of-touch state Legislature this session, it seems that the failure to allow a livable minimum wage is right at the top of their “unaccomplishments.” Wal-Mart has raised their minimum wage to improve their employees’ lives and to generate some overall economy. Good for Wally. I hereby challenge all those lawmakers who voted against a sustainable minimum wage, and the municipalities’ right to decide on the issue, to publish their salaries for the last five years. Let us all know just what they have earned and regard as sustainable.

Frank Juiliano, Stanley
