Taylor letter: Follow Constitution
In light of the ongoing battle of candidates for the executive office, I would like to see members of Congress return to school and refresh themselves on the Constitution of the United States, the true law of this land.
They need to relearn that Article 1 dictates they are to pass laws per the wishes of the lawful citizens (also known as the voters). Period.
It is the job of said legal citizen/voter to choose from candidates who avail themselves for selection to office of either the president or Congress. Again period.
It is not their job to select candidates for us, the legal citizen voters.
They can go to the polls and vote just like the rest of us.
Conclusion: Congress, butt out.
Many Americans are getting sick of them and the president (an alleged professor of the Constitution no less) exceeding their authority.
