Geraghty letter: Idaho Legislature

A quick review of legislative news from the Thursday, March 17, edition informs that I won’t have to worry about Sharia law, or subsidizing health care for my low-income neighbors, or local police taking away my right to foul the landscape with plastic bags. And ... I can finally carry my pistol in my pocket instead of a holster. I can also rest assured that the Legislature will continue to feed friendly law firms who carry their narrow-minded cases into court, without any chance of accomplishing anything. Hey, those guys have a career waiting for them in the Legislature.

I’ve heard that the legislators are poorly paid. I think we have learned again that you get what you pay for.
