Stark letter: West Ada board
Some thoughtful citizens stepped up to make themselves available to serve on the West Ada school board. Too bad the appointment appears to be a crony of the recall trustees.
Those trustees already maintain a majority. Yet it seems to be important for them to validate their behavior by appointing another like-minded individual. Too bad. An opportunity was missed for the recall trustees to begin to promote trust. Instead they displayed their egotism. The fact remains that they were not fair with Linda Clark. As a majority they are potentially able to repeat the bullying behavior with anyone else, at their will and discretion, and on their own schedule.
One trustee resigned, showing integrity and concern for the well-being of the district. Because of their past unprofessional behavior, the remaining recall trustees could have done the most good for the district by also resigning. They don’t seem to understand that their effectiveness is over.
Finding common ground is usually the best policy. But in this situation recall is the only oversight available for moving forward. Please get behind the recall effort for the betterment of all, and let’s start fresh with new faces and ideas.
