Massie letter: Pass SB-1205
Once again Idaho’s governor and Legislature are playing games with the health and well being of Idaho’s citizens in need of health care.
They have refused the help of the federal government with our Medicaid needs. The best and most effective way for our citizens to get needed health care is to pass SB 1205, giving much needed federal monies to help with Medicaid for our citizens in need.
Our governor has offered an expensive and non-effective measure at the cost of our citizens in need. Even our Legislature has denounced the governor’s plan as lacking, expensive and ineffective.
Most hospitals, physicians and constituents believe SB-1205 is the best and quickest way to get Medicaid help for those who need it most.
Please contact your legislators to pass this bill before they adjourn this session without acting on this most needed bill.
Let us all hope the some common sense can be instilled in our legislators so we don’t see more indigent, medically needy people dying this year due to their lack of action.
It’s time to take up this cause and pass SB 1205, for the good of all Idahoans.
