Devitt letter: Legislature
As the 2016 Idaho legislative session draws to a close, I am writing to publicly request the assistance of Sen. Curt McKenzie, R-Nampa, in passing what I believe is timely and important legislation for the great state of Idaho.
I call it the Idaho day care and preschool open-carry, patriot second-amendment and religious freedom protection act (the religious freedom part is just to help it pass, honestly).
Now I know that the liberal-fascists will insist that taking naps and wearing diapers disqualify toddlers from exercising their God-given second-amendment right to protect themselves with lethal force, this is utter nonsense. It is illogical to believe that one’s age or maturity should somehow preclude the practice of a basic American right — the right to bear arms of any kind or number, in any circumstance whatsoever.
Please write to Sen. McKenzie and urge him to enlist the support of his patron, the National Rifle Association, in getting this bill added to the Idaho Code, ASAP.
If we truly believe in freedom for all Idahoans, we will put an end to this grave injustice being foisted on our most vulnerable citizens — our toddlers.
