Davidson letter: Thank you

My wife and I are relatively new to Idaho, moving here from Washington state. We love the area and the people have been honest, polite and welcoming. On Feb. 17, we shopped at several stores at The Village of Meridian. We inadvertently left two packages in a shopping cart in Toys R Us. To make a long story short: During the 10 minutes it took us to return to the store, it appears a woman in her mid-30s with an 8-10-year-old girl found the packages, took the pair of size 9 toddlers athletic shoes back to Nike and fabricated a story to get a refund. Although it was our negligence to leave the packages in an unattended shopping cart, I just want to give a double thumbs-up, shout out and thank you to the employees and manager of Nike. They were so responsive and concerned about the issue, and they insisted we accept a replacement pair of shoes. This type of customer service deserves recognition. We will continue to shop at the Village stores, pay more attention to our packages, and buy quality sportswear and shoes at the Nike store. Thank you again.
