Hickman letter: Trump
Not so long ago in America, it was OK to kill Indians and even to profit from selling their scalps. In the early 20th century it was OK for a group of white men to wear hoods and lynch black men without fear of being charged with any crime. Now in the enlightened year of 2016 we would hope that dark and sad history is well behind us but we have a serious presidential candidate who is actually calling all Mexicans racists and all Muslims terrorists.
I am worried what the followers of Donald Trump might do in these instances. Who would have thought that we could return to such a terrible and shameful time as this?
