Guerry letter: Finicum

People seem to believe Lavoy Finicum brought his fatal shooting on himself. So federal officials can now utilize snipers and SWAT teams with impunity to take the lives of “troublemakers,” U.S. citizens who are citizens who protest?

Sen. Harry Reid, who was behind the tyranny, said after the Bundy confrontation that the dispute between the federal government and ranchers “wasn’t over yet.”

Well, Reid and federal officials made good on Reid’s threat regarding Lavoy Finicum in a “traffic stop.” By all accounts Mr. Finicum never pointed a gun at federal officials or anyone else that day. He never even had a gun in his hand. Unfortunately for ranchers, the Obama administration treats them as terrorists.

Real terrorists have actually received due process in the federal courts while Mr. Finicum died without a single day in court.

This brutal killing of a U.S. citizen sets a very dangerous precedent. A special prosecutor must be appointed to investigate.
