I read Republican Party Chair Steve Yates’ opinion charging Democrats want big government to fix our health gap with anger at his dismissive and partisan attitude. He claims that “Democrats trotted out a doctor to use the tragic story of one of his patients to call Idaho Republicans murderers.” He seems to have conveniently forgotten the March 2012 circus in our Legislature when Brandi Swindell was allowed to stage three live ultrasound exams in support of Sen. Chuck Winder’s (failed) bill to force a woman to undergo a trans-vaginal ultrasound before having an abortion. Apparently he thinks only the Republican point of view should be shared with our legislators.
