Numbers letter: Refuge takeover
We had a comical group of 10-year-old “cowboys” living out their prepubescent fantasies of riding to the rescue of — what? The land they say they are “liberating” was already free to all Americans.
So you, me and every other law-abiding U.S. citizen is now an “Indian.” Now we know how the Paiutes must have felt over a hundred years ago as their lands were first occupied and then confiscated by armed thugs.
Apparently we now have our own group of homegrown jihadi with the goal of establishing a cowboy “caliphate.” They appear to be tragically hard-of-hearing and unable to hear virtually every citizen in Harney County, and the Oregon governor, yelling at them to get out.
They said they’d leave when the federal government turns over our public lands to private ranchers for their personal profit. Really? I think they’ll need a ton more French Vanilla coffee creamer before that happens.
Unfortunately, I think they are well past making a succinct statement and then departing gracefully with an actual shred of their dignity intact. Grow up.
