Andrews letter: Homosexuality

In response to Chuck Cahoon. Let me start by saying I am a born-again Christian. I accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord when I was 15. Now, point by point. First, I realized I was gay when I was 6 years old. I denied it for many years, but I knew. Are you saying a 6-year-old chooses his sexuality? I think not. Second, regarding the Holocaust and gays. If only 1-2 percent of the population is gay, we would be underrepresented in any statistic. Also, if you can hide your sexuality to save your life, you will. Finally, “You know that’s not true” (that people don’t “return” to heterosexuality). The founder of Exodus International, a “gay conversion” ministry, has admitted that there is no such thing as gay conversion. Mr. Cahoon may not like it, but we are born this way. I’m sorry if the facts don’t agree with his preconceptions.
