Wilkins letter: Jet noise
In regards to the complaints about our noisy military planes. I love having them fly over our house and the truth is they were here first. Quit griping. I spent almost four years as a helmsman on the USS Forrestal CVA-59. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s an aircraft carrier. You don’t know what noise is. You should be honored Boise has the military base and some of our country’s brave pilots that never quit training. We were in Vietnam in 1967 and lost over 130 shipmates. Our pilots are protecting you and the rest of us. Stop complaining and thank them for their service. I have to wonder if the ones complaining ever served our country.
Garth Wilkins, Boise
