Landers letter: Follow Constitution
How much are we willing to compromise and are we willing to censor or trample the liberties or infringe on the rights of others? Where do we draw the line on a bloated government because anymore there is no limited government and our forefathers are turning in their graves? I believe in the Constitution and the rights of the citizens, but I see government overstepping boundaries and shredding the Constitution, and I see both parties doing nothing but insulting each other and making promises that they can’t keep because too much ego. What we need is politicians who will take the time to listen, not be opinionated. America was founded on “we the people” and it was built and fought on their backs, and their word was their handshake, because it is the laborers who have contributed the most through hard work and labor, and we have forgotten that. America is destroying itself within because we don’t know how to work together, yet our troops are made up of a variety of people from all walks of life as in the Revolution of 1776, and they lay down their lives for all of us.
