Blaser letter: Thank you

We want to thank some wonderful people helping get a broken snowmobile north of Deadwood Lodge on Saturday, Jan. 2. We started to tow before Deadwood and were trying to get back to Warm Lake. Through Avalanche Alley on a nongroomed trail. Three of us were the only ones in and out of Deadwood from the top or since it had snowed. We rode into Stanley on the way back both runners bent and the track was not able to hook up, letting the track flop around. We started climbing the slide area and a couple of great guys helped us up the hill. Big time. Thinking we were good we said goodbye to our help. But it was still too much hill, powder and floppy track. Then another group helped us to the top and then we were able to limp it to Warm Lake. When two groups of people ride with the idea to leave no rider out there, it sure puts your faith back in people. We have been riding the backcountry for over 35 years, and also believe when you see someone in trouble, stop to help or get them out. Thank you again.
