Clark letter: Award mania
Tis the season to hand out awards. Starts with the People’s Choice Awards, then the Golden Globe Awards. We then move on to the Critics Choice movie awards. Shortly after that we feel a need for more awards, so the Screen Actors Guild Awards are presented. Not satisfied, the Grammys are presented next. The granddaddy is next, the Oscars. What would we do without three and a half hours of celebrities patting each other on the back and handing out more awards? Moving right along, the Country Music Awards are handed out. Right after that, the Billboard Music Awards. Things slow down during the summer (celebrity vacations), but they heat up again in September with the Emmys followed by the American Music Awards, and finally the Kennedy Center Awards. Gosh, I certainly hope I didn’t forget any of those very important “awards.” Wouldn’t want to forget anyone deserving of an award. Really. Is there anyone left who hasn’t received an award? If so please raise your hand and I’ll bring one over.
