Elliott letter: 2016 goals
2016 — New for Idaho.
1) Build a city for the homeless like the one by Mobile Loaves & Fishes in Central Texas. The houses are tiny houses or reconditioned RVs. There is a meeting hall, community garden, medical facility, beekeeping, chickens, walking paths. This city is for the chronically homeless. Facilities like this are springing up around the country.
2) Increase the sales tax on cigarettes and use the money to pay the medical expenses of those not covered by Medicaid or give the money to the schools.
3) Increase the legal age to buy cigarettes to 21. Research shows that by upping the age to buy cigarettes, the number of children who take up smoking is dramatically decreased.
