Rogers letter: Climate change

I would like to thank the Statesman for the Jan. 1 article in the Depth Section, “Many legislators doubt scientists’ climate consensus.” It’s enough to make an Idaho resident cringe when Dell Raybould, Chairman of the House Resources & Conservation Committee uses Rush Limbaugh as his source for scientific facts concerning climate change. Much could be said about the article. But what comes to mind is a quote from Reverend Edward Everethale when asked if he prayed for the senators. He stated “No, I look at the Senators and pray for the country.” Just substitute Idaho Legislature for Senators and pray. As Pogo said. “We have met the enemy and they is us.”
