Harman letter: Boise noise study
Regarding Boise’s noise: Airport neighbors, critics dig in
I am one of the homeowners affected by the possible location of the F-15’s and/or F-35’s at Gowen Field. I have been made aware of noise studies in the past. Not so this year. In fact, I was pretty sure after the last study, that it was decided that the F-35’s would not be stationed here. To find out, pretty close to the end of this survey, that they are again considering this, is quite surprising. Because they (Airport/City Hall/FAA) were aware of our protests in the past, it seems like they are sneaking this study in. I would like an open and honest assessment of all factors surrounding the placement of these jets here. And quite frankly, I would prefer them to be stationed in Mountain Home. That still brings tax dollars to Idaho. If Boise needs more tax revenues, how about ending tax breaks for corporations?
