Pauls letter: Ag-Gag bill

I believe Idaho dairy farmers are hurting themselves by pushing for the Ag-Gag bill.

When the covert filming of the abuse of dairy cows was exposed, the dairymen’s united response should have been “We decry these abusive actions and we want to assure the public that this is not business as usual. We are open, aboveboard, care for our animals and have nothing to hide.”

The bill was found to be unconstitutional and overturned. To have Gov. Butch Otter pursue it further gives the impression dairy businesses do not want to be scrutinized. Integrity? Maybe. Maybe not.

Once again, the governor chooses to waste taxpayer money tilting at windmills for his cronies.
