Nielsen letter: Political correctness

We are not all Muslim, we are not all atheist, we are not all Jewish, we are not all Christian, we are not all black, we are not all white, we are not all Hispanic, we are not all Asian, we are not all liberal, we are not all conservative, we are not all filled with “white guilt,” we are human. That is why we protect the First Amendment with the Second.

If you are listening to the media tell you how you must get along, then you have surrendered your freedom of speech for political correctness. You have given up your right to be you. You have given up the right to be “human” and are nothing but a robotic tool of those who would imprison you in their beliefs. You are being used as a tool rather using the tools afforded to you by the blood and sacrifice of others for generations before you. You are a waste of good space and oxygen.

I vow to use the Second Amendment to defend your right to the First — use it wisely or don’t use it at all. My oath to the U.S. Constitution never expires.

Chuck Nielsen, Meridian
