White letter: Politics
Marco Rubio doesn’t want the U.S. to provide sanctuary to refugees because one out of a thousand might be a terrorist. Where would he be now if his Cuban parents hadn’t been allowed to immigrate here in 1956? He was also against restoring relations with Cuba after a useless 54 year embargo. He’s one of the flash mob of Republicans running for president.
Former House Speaker John Boehner said that the Obama administration kept giving, but got nothing in return from the Castros. Looks like the Castros are Republicans. Republicans want to turn away refugees, yet support selling assault weapons to every home-grown crazy that wants one. Republicans oppose abortion, yet are first to send troops into stupid wars to be killed or maimed.
Our ancestors slaughtered native Americans, enslaved Africans and put Japanese in concentration camps during WWII. We learn from history that we haven’t learned anything from history.
Maybe we should open our borders to refugees and deport all the useless politicians, racists, hatemongers and storm troopers.
