Taylor letter: Guns and safety
Great letter on Dec. 13 by Richard Smith on guns and safety. Allow me to add three more rules:
1. Keep finger off trigger until ready to fire.
2. Be very aware of all other parties that may come between you and your objective or down range.
3. Take training and practice often.
I want to emphasize: If the gun is not on you, fully secure it.
To you gun haters, please research the “prohibition” of alcohol in the early 1900s and bone up on the federal “war” on drugs. Study gun laws of France, California.
Washington, D.C., Illinois, New York and New Jersey. Remember, the San Bernardino shooters had “plan B” — 19 pipe bombs. Violating the Second Amendment is not the answer.
