Hedden Nicely letter: ACHD

What is going on at ACHD? It’s starting to look like the “Dictatorship of Boise roadways” is trying to make driving in Boise even more difficult. The ridiculously named “dog-bone” traffic circle at 36th & Hill Road should be stopped. Concerns and questions from the community have been asked without any answers from ACHD. This is a terrible project for Boise and it’s being forced down our throats. Now they are closing the Broadway Bridge while simultaneously digging up Fairview as it crosses the Boise River? What? Fairview is down to one lane getting out of downtown — can you say traffic jam. You’d think Mayor David Bieter and the citizens of Boise had done something to upset the “dictatorship of Boise roadways.” And don’t even get me started on the lack of sand trucks for our icy roads. Who is in charge over there? I think it’s time for a change. I hear Dave Eberle is running, that might help.

Andy Hedden-Nicely, Boise
