Peterson letter: Sanders can stop Clinton

Hillary Rodham Clinton must be stopped and Idahoans can do it. The Republican Party is in complete disarray and may be incapable of stopping her.

Our unlikely champion is Sen. Bernie Sanders. Every week Bernie’s crowds grow larger and larger while Hillary’s grow smaller and smaller. While Bernie has an exciting populist campaign, Hillary has a huge campaign war chest and the backing of the Democratic establishment. Bernie needs a single stunning event to break Hillary’s stranglehold on the Democratic nomination and the presidency.

Why don’t we invite Bernie to Bronco Stadium for “Bernie on The Blue”? Barack Obama stunned the nation when he packed Taco Bell Arena (which seats 12,644) on Feb. 2, 2008. Bronco Stadium seats 37,000. We can easily add 3,000 folding chairs to make it 40,000 (more than 3 times larger than Obama’s crowd.). We need to invite Bernie with letters (not emails or tweets.).

Our goal is 40,000 letters delivered to his Burlington office by midnight, Dec. 31, 2015 (New Year’s Eve.). Our Facebook page is Bernieontheblue and it has Bernie’s mailing address. Please invest a 49-cent stamp to keep Hillary Rodham Clinton out of the White House.
