Curtis letter: Presidential election

With the presidential elections coming up in 2016, we now have a unique opportunity to select a brand-new president. Around the United States candidates are giving speeches and running their campaigns. Candidates such as Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, others being in the swell as well. It is now becoming increasingly important to vote for the candidate that is going to help this country and its people most. It seems to me that the elections are getting worse. It is as though you have to be either with them or against them, there is very little middle ground. Even with this it is important for the younger generation to vote, which currently is not the case. Many of this generation believe that their vote does not count or that it won’t matter if they vote. They can’t be more wrong. The young people of Idaho have a great right and obligation to vote for a leader they will be willing to follow. The way to resolve this, I believe, is to publicly encourage this generation to vote and help them understand their responsibility.
