Gabbert letter: Boise homeless

I suggest, now that Cooper Court is disbanded, Mayor Bieter more diligently watch for these people to pop up in another location and deal with it immediately. All of this mess could have been avoided if the mayor took action early when they were removed from under the overpass. Unfortunately he waited until after the election. I am about to write a hefty check for my increased city property taxes, having been a victim of forced annexation, and I am resentful of all the expense the city has had to put out to deal with this mess when it could have been avoided.

For the homeless man “who just wants some land to call their own.” My suggestion for him is to get a job and work half of his life to pay for it like the rest of us. I know it’s a novel concept for him but that is how it is done.
