Sturm letter: Police shootings

I cannot believe the article on police shootings you printed on Dec. 6. Will you follow up with the officers shot in the line of duty for the last 15 years along with the names of the people who shot them?

You are inciting hatred for the police departments of our country who lay their lives on the line every single day to protect and to serve. Most of the people they encounter from day to day are those who have chosen to break the law and live under their own perverted standards.

If you think you can do a better job I encourage you to apply to any local police department, go through the rigorous training they do, then go out into the streets with a target on your back and see if you make the life expectancy of a police officer.

Don’t be fooled by the White House’s determination to destroy respect for our officers and further undermine the greatness of our country.
