Marsh letter: No thanks

So now we have slid right past gratitude and on to greed and the materialistic quest of “Charge-Mas” instead of Christmas. So what does it take to stop this spiral? President George Washington in 1789 proclaimed a day “devoted by the people of these states to the service of that great and glorious Being who is beneficent author of all the good that was, that is or will be, that ... all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks — for His kind care and protection of the people of this country ... and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations, and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions ... to render our National Government a blessing to all the people.”

Someone said that it is crazy to keep doing the same thing and then expect a different outcome.

God has said “If my people, who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, search for me, and turn from their evil way then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their country.”

I vote for healing.
