Ingraham letter: Unions
The Republican candidates have discovered the benefits of belonging to a union. Unions negotiate three things: wages, hours and working conditions. Coming together to improve the hours. Talking for three hours is too taxing, and with nothing to say, too hard. Improving their working conditions, because the moderators are mean. Good thing Putin isn’t as tough as Dana Bash. Only thing left is wages. Their wealthy benefactors will reward them when they squeeze the working class for more and more of our tax dollars, while cutting and decreasing our entitlements. Yes entitlements, as in I am entitled to them. In Republican mouths the word is a negative. I challenge anyone to name one broad-based positive social indicator America is No. 1? Then make a list of the negative. We are No. 1 in many of those. Why is that? The corporate takeover of America ushered in this age of greed and mean-spiritedness. The Republicans are natural allies with those policies, but Democrats are not far behind. Jesus has become a defender of wealth and privileged. A hater of the poor. I’m such a good Catholic that I don’t support the pope. Fascism in not far behind. Sad.
